Dawson was trying to tell Grandma how well Dexter danced the chicken dance at his 6th grade Valentines Day dance.

Dawson:Dexter won the chicken dance at his Valentines dance.

Grandma: Did you really win Dex?

Dexter, with a nod of the head: uh-huh

Dawson: Yep, yep, he got the runs!

Dexter: I won Runts, Dawson!

crying over corn bread

This evening, not long ago, tears were shed over corn bread.

Some nights are just like that.....

Just think...

Just think,

you're here

but by GOD's choosing.

HIS hands formed you

the person you are.

HE compares you

to no one else-

you are one of a kind.

that HIS grace

can't give you.

HE has allowed you to be here at this

Once again our evening was filled with a small amount of comedy.

I was pestering Jaxson just a little bit...giving him a good tease.

It was all in fun, we were both laughing.

He kept puttering out between laughs Mom, be quiet. You're funny. Nun-uh

Then rolled right off his fourth grade tongue, SHUUUTT UPP....

Realizing what he said, and remembering I'm not fond of those words

came the wink.

The wink cracked me completely up!

• Should the photo be above the caption, or below?
• Which way does it flow the best?
• I'm wondering if this was covered in one of the multiple English Writing classes I once, a long, long time ago, was a student in?
• Which has me now wondering if my 12, 10 or even 7 year old may be smarter than me?
• NEVER!
• Now I've concluded that this wonder probably isn't really worth wondering about?
• Does it really matter?

Again this year Jaxson participated in basketball. He was super excited to be part of one of the traveling 4th grade teams.

Late last night as I sat in front of this very screen, blog hopping, I came upon a website that sent me to bed with the giggles. Literally, I slid into bed beside my toasty warm hubby and burst out with uncontrollable laughter, as I plotted my idea.

The poor guy...I said all I could without telling him what was SOOOO funny! He hates that.

I'm borrowing someones idea and plan to design my own version this Sunday night. Oh I can already here the......

I think the idea is fabulous, homemade. I would NEVER spend money to buy the designer addition. Just grab your red sharpie maker, a roll of the cushioning white stuff and leave your love note for your loved ones to find!

what happens in mexico......

......doesn't ALWAYS stay in Mexico. Yes, it is a real live monkey.

The little fella and his owner roamed the resort posing for pictures. He was rewarded with sunflower seeds, which he's digging for in Mom's hair.

She didn't mind the Spider Monkey on her arm but when it jumped on top of her head she wasn't quite so sure.

In this photo we're celebrating like young girls do. We loved, loved, loved our vacation and opted to have the complimentary photo shoot. Ricardo had us jump in the sand...1, 2, 3, JUMP! Looking at this photo-we're dorks-brings back memories of my cheerleading days(ugh!) Poor Moms hips hurt for 2 days.....BUT, she didn't slow down, she's a RoCkStAr! and packs like one too;-)
